Flexi-T 300
The standard model that offers effectiveness and comfort. Most suited for the nuliparous woman
(women who have never been pregnant or possibly have had 1 child)
Flexi-T + 300
Developed for contraception for multiparous and very fertile women (women with 2 deliveries and more). The body of the IUD is slightly bigger than the Flexi-T 300.
Flexi-T + 380
Developed for contraception for multiparous women. The body of the IUD has the same size as the Flexi-T+ 300, however has a copper surface of 380 mm². Copper sleeves on the transverse arms. The Flexi-T+ 380 is the so called “gold standard” in regards to efficacy with an oversized plastic body.
For whom is Flexi-T suitable?
In principle Flexi-T is suitable for all woman of a reproductive age who has had either no children or no more than three children, providing they do not have an abnormality of the womb. Your GP or gynecologist will be able to assess this. For women who want local action without hormones, and long-term and worry-free contraception in the most natural possible way, Flexi-T offers a highly suitable form of protection against pregnancy.
Flexi-T is also suitable for women who are breast-feeding, those who are between pregnancies or as an alternative to sterilization.
Reliability of Flexi-T
Flexi-T is extremely reliable. There is a very small risk of pregnancy- less than 1%. In practice, Flexi-T has been found to be as reliable as the pill, particularly because it cannot be forgotten and is not affected by the use of certain medications.
